Last week I attended a Trunk Show in the Virtual Labs hosted by the Etsy MetalClay team. After being there for just a few minutes I was in awe of all the talent on the team. They showcased some fantastic pieces of jewelry and I found several new favorite shops.
I had never heard of metal clay (or more specifically, precious metal clay) before, and they explained what it was. Precious Metal Clay is a clay-like medium used to make jewelry or beads. The material consists of microscopic particles of pure silver, fine gold, or bronze powder and a water-soluble, non-toxic, organic binder which burns off during firing. What you're left with is a beautiful precious metal piece of jewelry, like you see here.
The photo in this post is the gorgeous bronze "Heartfelt Arrangement" pendant necklace that I won during the Trunk Show. The piece is made by KalePrimitifs, and I LOVE it! I can't believe that I won it. Please check out KalePrimitifs shop and look for other Etsy MetalClay team members. They are a talented group of people.
